Once Upon A Time...

A glimpse into the past, when I was a lot younger and living in Minnesota of all places. All in all they were good years. Below are clippings and photos from the heady days of my youth.

I'd won the first of my two Louis Cason Awards at this arts festival.

Portrait of Lillian Parks Thomas, sister of the late photographer/filmmaker/composer Gordon Parks .

Press photo to promote the group show "Time, Space and Dimension" at the Inner City Youth League. Pictured with me are Jack Richardson and T. Lipton White circa 1978.

One more win...

Presentation of the winning painting of the 1979 Summit-Universtiy Arts Festival to the Martin Luther King Center, St. Paul MN.

A summer of shaping young minds...

This was a blast, placing in the competition against artists from all over the Midwest.
